God blessed me with the most beautiful sight to behold last night. It wasn't the Grand Canyon or a dazzling sunset - something far more remarkable. It was a baptism. Not only was this already the loveliest of sights to behold, what made it even more spectacular was the mental snapshot of friends gathered close witnessing a rebirth. Celebrating the moment of a close friend's lifetime.
I can think of many memorable occasions we gaze upon. Truly joyful events. Like the smile on your awaiting grooms face down the sacred aisle of matrimony; that first look upon the face of your newborn baby; and then there's the beauty of the landscape of God's awesome creation. All make our hearts sing and our spirits soar with unspeakable joy. But this room had a heavenly view.
Dear God; Thank You for moments like these. For allowing us to share in the purpose for which our Savior died. Thank You that we can join in the celebration with all of heaven to welcome another into Your fold. Bless this child of Yours, Father, with all the riches that are in Christ Jesus. Continue to work out her salvation and surround her with loving, supportive friends all her days. In Jesus Glorious Name, Amen
